Man, 35, fatally shot in chest behind Queens retail strip

A 35-year-old man was shot to death in a lot behind a Queens retail strip early Sunday, police said.
The victim was shot multiple times in the chest behind a row of stores on Beach 20th St. near Cornaga Ave. in Far Rockaway about 3 a.m. Police believe the man was killed after an argument.
Medics took him to Jamaica Hospital but he could not be saved. His name was not immediately released.
No arrests have been made.
The killing marks the fourth this year in the 101st Precinct, which saw four homicides in all of 2023 — all from a horrific domestic-violence quadruple-murder last December.
